Introduction to Drawing Animals Art Class

The visual Arts Subcommittee of the Sanders County Arts Council announces ART CLASSES for 2017

  • Classes are open to participants 16 years of age and over.
  • Minimum number of participants for all classes is 5 – maximum is 12.
  • All classes are at The Paradise Center (formerly the Paradise School),Paradise, Montana.
  • Classrooms are upstairs in the main building, so participants will need to be able to climb stairs.
  • For classes 10 AM – 3 PM, bring your lunch.
  • Pre-registration is required for participation:
  • Go to sanderscountyarts.org -Click on “See All Classes”
  • Click on “Register” button -choose the class from the list -provide your contact information
  • Or call 847-5598 to register
  • Registration deadline is three days prior to class date.
  • Mail your registration fee to: SCAC, PO Box 397, Plains, MT 59859
  • The registration fee for some classes includes all necessary materials.
  • A small portion of all registration fees supports operation of The Paradise Center.

Animal drawing class will cover the basic shapes and proportions necessary to draw animals accurately.

Students will work with charcoal sketches and learn the fundamental shapes as well as rendering for animal fur.

We will have some animal photos for you to use as subject matter, but please bring a photo of an animal you would like to draw.
